How sizing works at Orvane Victoria
Our pieces are made by different manufacturing partners and designed with different fits in mind. A slim-fit tailored blazer, a relaxed boho maxi dress, and a chunky cable-knit sweater don't follow the same sizing logic — so a single universal chart wouldn't actually help you pick the right size. Instead, we put the relevant sizing information directly on each product page where it's most useful.
Where to find sizing for a specific product
On every Orvane Victoria product page, you'll find:
- The size chart for that specific piece — with measurements (bust, waist, hips, inseam, or footwear equivalent) relevant to that garment
- Fit notes — whether the item runs true to size, small, large, or oversized
- Model information — what size the model is wearing, so you can compare proportions
- Fabric and stretch details — important for understanding how a piece sits on the body

General tips for getting the right size
- Measure yourself, don't guess — use a soft tape measure around bust, waist, and hips. Five minutes of measuring saves a return.
- Compare against a garment you already own — lay a well-fitting piece flat and measure it pit-to-pit, waist to waist, hem length
- Check the fit notes first — if a piece is described as "oversized" or "relaxed," size down if you want a closer fit
- Consider the occasion — a dress for an evening event might fit closer than a casual everyday dress
- When between sizes, pick based on the fabric — stretch fabrics forgive size up, structured fabrics forgive size down
